官论上抄的，英语好的自己看，英语不好的可以等待哪个好人翻译。。。

Solicest asked me to post, but didn't use two crying smileys, so I made her wait a while before I posted. But here are some hints as to the identity of the new civ.

Some ground rules first. I'm going to give a section of hints about their identity, and then a section of teases about their abilities. HOWEVER! I am a vicious, nasty troll, so not all of these hints are true. In fact, 50% of the hints and the teases are TOTALLY FALSE. Enjoy!

Identity (50% FALSE)

1.       The Tobies have a deeply religious connection to animals found in their area

2.       The Tobies are famous as an aggressive, warlike culture

3.       The Tobies are famous as a peaceful, largely mercantile culture

4.       The Tobies originated north of the Mediterranean region

5.       The Tobies originated south of the Mediterranean region

6.       The Tobies are famous for putting something in their mouth before a battle

7.       The Tobies are famous for putting something on their heads before a battle

8.       The Tobies have a signature weapon that can be thrown or swung

9.       The Tobies will launch in November 2012

10.   The Tobies will launch in October 2012



Abilities (50% FALSE)

1.       The Tobies have an Age 3 unit about as strong as a War Elephant

2.       The Tobies have a special unit that steals gold from their enemies

3.       The Tobies are focused on population efficiency

4.       The Tobies are focused on naval warfare

5.       The Tobies have air support

6.       The Tobies have early gunpowder weapons

7.       The Tobies start with two scouts

8.       The Tobies have a fortress that converts enemy priests

9.       The Tobies have a fortress that sets units on fire

Now, to forestall the obvious question, so I don't get asked for the nth time, I expect that you'll know more about their exact identity within a week.

给大家说下我猜的思路，根据能力里的5、6和8、9两条，我猜想这是一个可能使用某种早期火器的文明

我个人的结论是犹太，但是也不保证50%正确率

此文明与他们居住地的动物有很深的宗教性联系
（考虑到罗马人的传统，这个很可能是指向罗马人的提示，但其他文明，比如埃及人将动物尊为神，以色列人也有向神献上动物的习惯，所以不好说）

2.       The Tobies are famous as an aggressive, warlike culture
此文明以他们的侵略性和战争艺术著称
（这也是指向罗马人）

3.       The Tobies are famous as a peaceful, largely mercantile culture
此文明以他们的和平，商贸文化著称
（这个指向迦太基人）

（不知是什么，但我觉得这条不太现实）

此文明致力于人口效率，即少而精
（这个比较牵强）

4.       The Tobies are focused on naval warfare
此文明致力于海战
（明显是迦太基）

5.       The Tobies have air support
此文明有空中部队支援
（哎呦……也许是罗马人的巨型风筝）

6.       The Tobies have early gunpowder weapons
此文明有早期火器
（如果指希腊火还好说，不然只能指远方国家如中国了）

7.       The Tobies start with two scouts
此文明有2斥候开局
（难以判断）

8.       The Tobies have a fortress that converts enemy priests
此文明的堡垒可转化敌方祭司
（难以判断）

9.       The Tobies have a fortress that sets units on fire
此文明的堡垒可以焚烧敌方单位
（如果前面火药的地方是希腊火或中国，那这个很好理解）

（人口大国？）

罗马（没有可能，根据狂弄出来的资料差得比较远）
远东文明（几乎不可能，因为不论地中海南部还北部，大概还是地中海吧）
迦太基（不太可能，因为有军团了）

接着，剩下就没什么可以靠谱地猜一下了

迦太基也有可能吧，现在的迦太基只是个联盟不是个文明。迦太基估计出了也会很好玩，我其实不太希望这回是罗马，因为这个20级开始的文明很有可能跟巴比伦一样，是个半成品一样。我希望罗马像希腊一样可玩性很高。

罗马未必不可能，这里面没有和资料冲突的地方。
远东文明也并非不可能，因为那两个提示可能全错
迦太基也很有可能，或者腓尼基，埃及和希腊都有联盟了，照样有文明。

迦太基，因为有大象。中国和罗马都已说了不会之后出。那么除了迦太基就是腓尼基了。

腓尼基人深受埃及文明的影响，信奉古埃及的神祗，所以腓尼基信封动物为神灵也就不足为奇了。

2.The Tobies are famous as an aggressive, warlike culture
此文明以他们的侵略性和战争艺术著称
维基百科有提到腓尼基人的战术之类的，原文如下：
“腓尼基人也是一群优秀的军事家，他们为了争夺地中海航线上的利益与当时活跃在地中海的其他势力之间曾发生过多次战事。”

3.The Tobies are famous as a peaceful, largely mercantile culture
此文明以他们的和平，商贸文化著称
腓尼基人的贸易文化极高，维基百科的原文如下：
腓尼基人擅长航海和贸易。腓尼基所处的地理环境面朝大海，交通发达，而在东面的黎巴嫩山区盛产轻质木材，为造船业提供了便利条件。所以腓尼基人从事航海贸易有着得天独厚的优势。

4.       The Tobies originated north of the Mediterranean region
此文明源出北地中海
5.The Tobies originated south of the Mediterranean region
此文明源出南地中海
这两句一起解释了：因为腓尼基人的海外扩张范围极大，已经包括了南地中海沿岸和北地中海沿岸，所以也就没什么矛盾的了。

6.The Tobies are famous for putting something in their mouth before a battle
此文明打仗前都要往嘴里放某些东西
不太可能，因为我至少是没听过。可是听说一些迷信的希腊或罗马战士会在嘴里放橄榄，不知道是不是真的；如果是真的，也许是受腓尼基人的影响？

7.The Tobies are famous for putting something on their heads before a battle
此文明打仗前都要往头上放一些东西
这很难说，因为很多文明都在士兵头上放东西：比如罗马人会在百夫长的头盔上放上某种动物的毛、在旗手的头盔上放上狮子或者老虎的皮；埃及法老在作战时会戴上蓝色的头盔（不同于士兵和将军在头上戴的的白色麻布）；我国秦朝士兵根据不同的级别扎不同的发髻等等……

8.The Tobies have a signature weapon that can be thrown or swung
此文明有重要武器，可以旋转或投掷。
这个不好说，因为每个文明都有投掷武器（各位不要把掷矛兵忘了）

此文明要于11月面世

此文明要于10月面世

不好说，因为罗马的百人军团和希腊的重装步兵都有打败过战象的历史。这些文明都受到了腓尼基人的影响，莫非腓尼基人也打败过战象？

2.The Tobies have a special unit that steals gold from their enemies
此文明有能偷取敌方黄金的单位
没见过，可是在某些文明在经济上可以对别的文明进行经济制约也不是不可能，我看只有腓尼基做得到……

3.The Tobies are focused on population efficiency
此文明致力于人口增长速度
苦竹的翻译个人认为不太对……
如果按我的翻译来看，各种文明都有可能（直接忽略这个信息）

4.The Tobies are focused on naval warfare
此文明致力于海战
明显是腓尼基，毕竟腓尼基是当时的海上霸主……

5.The Tobies have air support
此文明有空中部队支援
也许是中国的侦察风筝（中国有用风筝进行军事侦察的历史）

6.The Tobies have early gunpowder weapons
此文明有早期火器
肯定是指希腊火

7.The Tobies start with two scouts
此文明有2斥候开局
腓尼基人画出了第一张地中海地区的地图，也就不足为奇了。

8.The Tobies have a fortress that converts enemy priests
此文明的堡垒可转化敌方祭司
不好说，是希腊的催眠术还是埃及的心灵治愈术呢？

9.The Tobies have a fortress that sets units on fire
此文明的堡垒可以焚烧敌方单位
希腊火……

10.   The Tobies start with 7 villagers
此文明开局有7单位
腓尼基是一个人口大国，下面是维基百科的原文：
“由于腓尼基地狭人稠，他们便向其在航线上建立的贸易据点殖民。”
从这句中不难看出，腓尼基是个人口大国，尤其是和腓尼基的狭长微小的本土相比。
